I am so fortunate to be able to work at home. I have my website and I am loving every minute of it. I can take my work pretty much anywhere using my lap top computer. I used to dislike the commute to work. Also it was an added expense with the cost of gas, clothes and lunch. I think if more people could work from home it would help the environment not to mention our sanity.

I really like how in Mexico and Paris there were so many little shops like bakeries, wine stores, flower shops, stationary everything really run by families who live above the shop or nearby. At one time it was like this pretty much everywhere in the world.

With the internet I believe many more people will start to find ways to work at home again. I don’t know why it seems to be taking so long for large corporations to allow their employees to work at home. I am sure it could be possible even if it is only a few days a week. It certainly would save them in overhead cost.

The truth is not everyone is able to work at home. You really have to focus. I found that in the beginning the house beckoned to me and I was easily distracted. Now I set my hours for work and I go to a designated location in my home. It took some discipline.

This is perfect for baby boomers as they want to continue to work but need freedom to travel, go back to school on-line or start a completely new career.

Were you able to work from home at least for today?

Do you usually work from home…if so what is your occupation and how is it working out for you?
